As the name implies, the test to find the fittest man and woman on earth is in fact a test of fitness. With many athletes chasing bigger lifts rather than improved conditioning scores, anyone who wants to compete at the highest level inevitably says to themselves “I’m just not strong enough”. As a coach who preaches the need for the majority of his athletes to improve their fitness - that is, their metabolic conditioning, it’s important for all of us to be on the same page with regards to just how strong an athlete needs to be to meet their goals.
